ACTIVITIES WITH CHILDREN

Benecko is located on the opposite hill from the accommodation. You can reach here by car in 10 minutes. Follow the main road in 27 minutes. You will find here many fun activities for all family members - for children a children's educational Lufťák trail, for adults the Benecká nature trail, mountain carts, tubing, scooter tracks, a children's indoor rope park or a workshop for dexterous hands. Benecko also offers a walk through the forest on Rovinka (refreshments, playground), which is suitable for both strollers and in-line skates. With older children you can look at the Žalý lookout tower.

Rokytnice nad Jizerou is a 13-minute drive from Vítkovice. It is an important ski resort, which even in summer offers its visitors many unusual experiences.

Harrachov is a 29-minute drive from Vítkovice. It is a city with a long glassmaking tradition and an important sports center, both in summer and in winter. You will experience a lot of experiences full of adrenaline, hiking, relaxation and rest.

You can choose from many activities from a bobsled run through a rope center to a giant swing. Cyclists will appreciate not only the number of bike paths in the area, but also the pump track .

However, the beautiful nature around Harrachov is undoubtedly his greatest treasure. Discover the magic of the Mumlava waterfall . Take a hike to the source of the river Elbe . The children will really get their money's worth here. We recommend making only day trips here :-)!

The most visited mountain resort Spindleruv Mlyn is located 36 minutes by car from Vitkovice.

In the summer months, but also in spring and autumn, Špindlerův Mlýn and its surroundings offer countless hiking and biking trails, nature trails and a wide range of sports and recreational activities for both demanding athletes and families with children.

A picturesque spa resort with an unusual history and distinctive architecture is located a 41-minute drive from Vítkovice. The town lies at the foot of Montenegro, at the top of which a modern cable car leads and is thus an ideal gateway to the Giant Mountains both in winter for skiers and in summer for hikers and cyclists.

Tourists and cyclists will enjoy themselves in the summer, in addition to many walking and cycling trails, the Panorama lookout tower (25.7 m) at the top of Montenegro also attracts visitors. An unforgettable experience is a walk along the 1500 m long Trail through the treetops of the Giant Mountains . The 1st Krkonoše educational cycling trail , equipped with the most interesting parts of the Black and Light Mountains, is equipped with information boards.

Kids can have a lot of fun here. Again, we recommend making day trips (let you get everything you want) :-).

Poniklá is a 13-minute drive from Vítkovice. It has a rich history, dating back to 1354. The production of glass Christmas decorations has a tradition here. This craft, which is still developed in a poor mountain region, can be found in the Rautis manufactory. The glass alchemy of blown bead decorations beautifies Christmas trees in our country and overseas. Try their production with your own hands! You will also find a beautiful playground, which is located near the primary school and near the museum of Krkonoše crafts. Right next to the playground you will find a shop "Nad věci", which offers excellent coffee and you can buy products of local production (syrups, honey, etc.).

The project "Fairytale Giant Mountains and Foothills" was launched in September 2014 and its subject is activities aimed primarily at families with children and youth, which will involve those interested in many activities. The central line is the campaign with the theme "Krakonoš's Krkonoše and Podkrkonoší", which freely follows the Krkonoše fairy tales, especially through the popular educational stamping game "In the footsteps of Krakonoš's Krkonoše" and "Krakonoš's Podkrkonoší". Another part of the playful campaign is the creation of 3 quests (search engines), processing of 4 routes of geolocation games using smartphones, acquaintance with geocashing, photo competitions, knowledge competitions, etc.

In the Giant Mountains you will also find places that are full of fun and activities for children and adults. In these amusement parks you can jump, slide, climb, ride carts or boats, climb, ride a horse or pony, feed the goats, make a gift in a creative workshop, or relax and have something good.
